At the Festival Opening with Mendelssohn's famous incidental music to Shakespeare's «A Midsummer Night's Dream», Nikola Hillebrand and Patricia Nolz are two great young voices, Cornelius Obonya takes over the narrator's role. For the rest of the festival, Rudolf Buchbinder has again invited the biggest names in music. Composer in Residence is the Frenchman Philippe Manoury.
