Introduction/Abstract

Julia Fischer performs Beethoven's Violin Concerto.

European Union Youth Orchestra · Julia Fischer · Sir Antonio Pappano

BEETHOVEN · STRAUSS

From child prodigy in the footsteps of Anne-Sophie Mutter, to a career that seems to know only highs, Julia Fischer regularly brings the perfection of her violin playing to the world's stages while breaking new ground in the music world with her «JF Club». On this visit to Grafenegg, she joins forces with the energetic musicians of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) in Beethoven's popular Violin Concerto. The concert, conducted by Antonio Pappano, closes with the opulent and epic tone poem «Also sprach Zarathustra». Afterwards you're invited to join the EUYO for a late-night session at the Reitschule, with free admission.
