The eyes of the music world were on Bayreuth in 2022 when conductor Markus Poschner took over the new production of «Tristan» at very short notice, earning him universal acclaim for his impressive debut on the «Green Hill». The busy conductor introduces himself in Grafenegg as Principal Conductor of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, which he has led with great success for several years, in addition to his position with the Bruckner Orchestra Linz. There is no doubt he will do his utmost to bring Tchaikovsky's Third Symphony, with its enchanting Polonaise in its finale, out from the shadow of the composer's better-known later works. No doubt, too, that these musicians from Switzerland will roll out the red carpet for pianist Anastasia Voltchok in Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major. A matinée to make you dream!
