Founded by Claudio Abbado, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra has become an indispensable part of the international musical landscape. It regularly causes a sensation at the most important musical centres with special projects - often under the direction of Daniel Harding, who has helped shape the ensemble from the beginning. One of these musical milestones was the premiere of George Benjamin's Concerto for Orchestra at the BBC Proms in London in 2021. The orchestra visits the Wolkenturm on this occasion with this widely lauded work. Star virtuoso soloist Daniil Trifonov is then at the keyboard in Schumann's Piano Concerto. The richly colourful Third Symphony by Brahms brings the evening to a lyrical close.
