The Grafenegg Academy has set itself the goal of demonstrating new perspectives for young artists at the start of their professional life. The audience benefits too, with the opportunity to witness an in-depth and richly varied engagement with different styles and genres. The second concert this season with the Grafenegg Academy Orchestra has a «musical joke» as its nucleus. The famous polka «Perpetuum mobile» by Johann Strauss forms the starting point for the colourful and profound musical journal «Charivari» by HK Gruber. This musical «twin» is introduced and concluded by inventive music from the pens of Joseph Haydn and Igor Stravinsky.
