A Matinee the likes of which we’ve never seen in Grafenegg before: Georg Friedrich Haas, Composer in Residence 2022, has brass bands march through the Schlosspark to conclude the Festival – and the audience can follow them across the castle grounds. The musical performance by the internationally respected Austrian composer, who has lived and worked in the USA for many years, not only takes the classical concert out of its usual constraints, it also requires a coming-together of brass-band music and contemporary composition. After the Matinee, Georg Friedrich Haas will plant his Composer Tree in the Schlosspark. At the INK STILL WET Final Concert at 3:30pm, he’ll stand in the limelight as workshop leader in the Auditorium.
