Each Summer the Grafenegg Academy forms a closely-knit community of exceptionally talented young professional musicians, sought-after tutors and curators who come together in an environment that is highly encouraging to intensive learning.

The Grafenegg Academy is led by Artistic Curators Alina Ibragimova, Håkan Hardenberger and Colin Currie, joined by a group of outstanding fellow artists and tutors. The focus of the collaborative work is the interplay between the individual and the collective through the artistic process. The aim is to create an awareness of a new approach to music making, in which the responsibility for interpretation is placed in the hands of each individual orchestra member.
