Kyiv Symphony Orchestra · Rudolf Buchbinder · Luigi Gaggero
BEETHOVEN · REVUTSKY
Based temporarily in the German since July 2022, the renowned Kyiv Symphony Orchestra is determined to provide a strong voice for Ukrainian culture outside its war-torn country. In Grafenegg, the orchestra, under its Italian principal conductor Luigi Gaggero, performs the highly regarded Second Symphony from 1926/7 by composer Levko Revutsky, considered the father of Ukrainian classical music. Before that, Rudolf Buchbinder intones the solemnity of Beethoven's Fifth Piano Concerto.
