The promise of an enchanting evening - how often has that become a reality in Grafenegg's Schlosspark! The magical atmosphere will be intensified even further at the opening of the 2023 Grafenegg Festival when the Tonkunstler-Orchestra, under the baton of its principal conductor Yutaka Sado, launches into Mendelssohn's colourful incidental music to Shakespeare's «A Midsummer Night's Dream», which also includes the famous Wedding March. Rising stars Nikola Hillebrand and Patricia Nolz are the soloists, while Cornelius Obonya takes on the narrator's role. In addition to Oberon and Puck, another prankster joins us for the opening concert: «Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks» by Richard Strauss guarantees a highly entertaining musical evening at the Wolkenturm.
